GAGA, Runway updo

What you'll need
Brush/comb/boar brush
Bobby pins
2 elastics
Gel/moose/hairspray
Hair extensions if your hair is too short

Brush hair throughout to eliminate any snarls and apply favorite texturizing product. It's easiest if you hang your head upside down to create very high pigtails like a bugs antennas.  Taking a small section of hair from behind each pigtail wrap around the elastic tucking the ends underneath and pinning securely. Backcomb both pigtail completely, taking your boar brush smooth out the pigtails and spray for a secure hold. Taking each pigtail in one hand wrap around the other hand towards your face like a ribbon on a present. The ends should be between your pigtails and directed to the back of your head and pinned in place crossing the pins for a secure hold use as many as needed for a secure hold. Spray a good amount of hairspray on the ends and smooth them with your comb or boar brush. Pulling your ends forward between your pigtails wrap over and under pinning in place.

Bridal,prom,formal updo

What you'll need
Brush/comb
3 small elastics
Clip
Hairspray/gel/moose
Several bobby pins

Brush hair completely to eliminate any snarls and apply your favorite texture product throughout your hair. Create a V shape section at the front of your hair and clip out of the way for later.  Create three vertical ponytails. Clip the top two ponytails out of the way and backcomb the bottom ponytail just enough to add texture. Loosely twist ponytail and grabbing one hair slightly cinch and twist into a bun bellow the second ponytail spray and pin into place. Repeat with the second ponytail creating a looser larger bun bellow the top ponytail. Repeat with the third ponytail making the third bun larger then the second.  At an angle split the V section in two parts, taking the first half twist inward grabbing a single hair and gently cinch it spray for hold and pull it back pin just above the bun and pull to the opposite side (if you grabbed the left side pull over to the right, if you pulled the right side pull to the left)drape over the buns pin under the bun side. Repeat with the second side of the V section when you pull it the opposite side cross over the first half and drape it over the buns from the other side and pin securely under the bun on the other side. Go through your hair and pull gently at the buns and twists to create volume and desired style. Spray finished hair and your finished. If you would like to add babies breathe, pearls, or decorative bobby pins.

A tailor maid friendship childrens book inspired look

As a child my favorite book was called a tailor made friendship. It was about a little girl who wakes up in a world of fabric the entire world is like a quilt. All of her new found friends are patched fabric animals. In the end she wakes up and her grandmother has surprised her with all her new friends as stuffed animals on her bed. I loved it.

What you'll need
What ever colors you would like to use face paint.
Makeup and face painting brushes
Eye liner/gel liner
Optional a stencil or decorative stockings
False eye lashes optional
Lash glue optional
Rhinestones optional

To begin depending on the mask you want completely cover your face(optional) and along your jaw line with white face paint. With your liquid eyeliner or black face paint with a edge liner brush create the patch look. It doesn't need to be detailed just a layout of the patch squares. Make it yours draw circles in one, lace around the outside of another, X's throughout or solid colors for another this is also where the stenciling can be fun or pulling your stockings over your head and press the color with a blush brush be very careful in removing the stocking/tights for a more detailed look apply a color first, pull stocking/tights over face and press the second color over the stockings/tights. Next apply the color for each individual patch. At this point apply the false lashes if you want to add some fun to your look. Taking your liquid liner or black paint and edge liner brush draw a like from your hairline along your jaw to the hairline atop your other ear. Draw  large stitch marks along this line and smaller stitch marks around your patches unless you added a lace outline.

A keepsake for a memorable evening

You've taken the time to follow my mask tutorial, painted your face with dear elegance and style the evening was magical and you hate to see it end. The makeup will however run and fade and will need to come off how to hold on to that .......

What you'll need
I prefer plaster bandage or gauze
Vaseline
All the makeup you used on the look your wish to re-create
I like a large nail file
Head band
Bowl of water
Scissors
Slick hair away from your face and put a head band in to secure hair form getting in your way. Using a healthy dose of Vaseline cover your clean face trust me you will want more then less especially over eye brows, lashes and hair line etc. Cut into small bandage like strips  dipping each individual strip into water and place on your face. Create an even thick layer breathing through your nose. try to insure  an even layer across your face leave it on until it is completely dry. To remove scrunch and wiggle your face to detach it from your face it takes some pulling by hand. Taking more strips fill in nose hole and eye holes if desired. Let the mask sit and dry completely. Trim around your mask for a smooth angelic like appearance trim desired shape If you want just a half mask . Taking your nail file file along the mask to make it smooth without bumps. Cover mask with a few layers of white face paint.for a smooth surface for your decorative paint to be applied. Recreate the enchanting mask to hold for ever. This can also be handy to practice your makeup technique for the big night.

Taking White face make-up paint along your cheek bones over your nose and up to the hairline. Fill in the sexy cat eye holes to your eye brows with black gel, liner, lipstick. Outline the black eyes and over your eyebrows with lash glue and apply gold dust. Stencil or draw elegant decorations along your white mask makeup with black eye liner. Filling in your outter nostrils with liner/gel/black lipstick. Trace lips with black lipstick as if applying lip liner fill in lips with dark sexy lipstick. At any point you can go back in with your brushes qtips and makeup remover and reapply or erase paint over with white make up and re apply decorations etc. Taking black eye shadow or face makeup with a shadowing brush outline your cheek bones along your mask to create shadow and make the white pop. Go over the out line of your entire mask along the inside of your black shadow cheek bones and along your hairline with lash glue and apply gold dust.

Elegant Party Mask without the discomfort

What you will need
Black or desired color rhinestones
Lash glue
False eye lashes
Black lipstick
Black eye liner
Black eye shadow
Desired color of dazzle dust
Thin eye shadow brush

Taking your eye liner draw the desired shape of a mask you would like to wear on your face or if needed get someone to help you with this. Taking your black lipstick fill in the mask completely leaving of course the eye holes untouched.("The eye holes were my idea" desert star's playhouse Zorro quote for the fam) and go over your mask with black eye shadow. Taking your black eye liner go back over and define the mask again for clean crisp lines. Apply eye liner if your mask is a cat eye like shape creating an angled eye is recommended and like wise a circle eye hole is great with a natural eye liner look. Apply eye liner to your water line or lower lash line and if desired create small lash strokes with your liner to extend your bottom lashes to make your eyes pop. Apply your false eye lashes if they are new gently bend them around a bit so that they will adapt to your eye shape. Taking your dazzle dust or pigment and create desired designs on your mask you can create a mirror effect or your own design on either side of your mask its up to you. Taking the back of your eye shadow brush apply small dots of Lash glue to your skin just out side your mask around your mask I recommend doing 5 dots at a time and then applying the rhinestones or your glue may dry before you are done. Once you have bordered your mask with the rhinestones your finished. Like I always say make it your own it doesn't have to be black add the rhinestones atop your mask. Another fun trick for face painting is to lay a some lace or any textured or cut out shape and lay it securely on your face and paint or dazzle over that onto your skin or painted skin. Feathers like the picture just bellow can be purchased I believe i got mine at Micheal's crafts and added to a mask for a lovely addition  just have fun and enjoy.
